Woke up at 7.30am today, on a Sunday, due to the horrendous heat. My air con is worse than a fan so I decided not to switch it on the previous night. I woke up having a cough and a headache as I searched my floor for my handphone which had dropped from my bed during my sleep…

I’m probably dehydrated or that my body is too hot (Hmmm… LOL).

….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. …..

Anyway, interestingly, at the entrance of JP, a boy approached me.

“ 可以帮我买烟吗？”

I think I’m too used to people asking me to buy stuff FROM them instead of FOR them. I was speechless for 2 seconds, trying to make some sense out of that.

When I saw that he wanted to hand over $7, I realized what he meant. (7-eleven was beside.)

Obviously I won’t do such a thing.

1) I’m a NURSE (in-making) and I don’t support smoking. :) The weather is polluted and hot enough. =x

2) It’s illegal to be smoking since he’s underage. He looks like a 15 year-old to me.

3) It’s morally unethical for me to abuse my legal age. With increased age comes increased responsibility. :)

SO, I gave him a “WHAT THE…” look and walked away. I could have said something but was too speechless… That was just a natural reaction.

 

This is a good situation to bring up many social issues. Haha… But I’m going to bed now. =)
